Maxled Youth is a Queens-based after-school program teaching life lessons through skateboarding. As a certified NYC Department of Education vendor, we partner with schools and families to help kids build confidence, focus, and community through skateboarding. We also specialize in working with students with special needs, providing patient, individualized support through movement and mentorship. We offer small-group and private lessons at local parks like Maloof and Astoria Skatepark. Whether you’re just learning to roll, trying to level up, or simply looking for a healthy outlet for your child, Maxled Youth is here to support the next generation of kids.
TORRO! Skateboards has been our longest and strongest supporter through the years. From the very beginning, Rodney Torres believed in Maxled Youth and what we were trying to build. His support through gear, encouragement, and community has helped lay the foundation for everything we do. TORRO! isn’t just a brand we ride for. It’s family.
A long-time supporter of Maxled Youth, NY State of Mind helps us amplify our message through merchandise collabs, giveaways, and community events. Their support helps reward people in the community for their efforts.
We teach students of all ages and skill levels, from toddlers to adults. Our youngest student so far was 2 and a half years old, and our oldest was 49. There’s no age limit to learning and enjoying skateboarding.
Yes! We offer private one-on-one lessons as well as small group sessions. Private lessons are great for kids who learn better outside of group settings or who need more personalized attention.
We encourage students to bring their own boards and helmets, but we also have gear available if needed. Just let us know ahead of time!
